University of Hawaii Maui College and Kaiser Permanente’s Student Healthcare Internship with a Focus on Diagnostic Imaging This paid 8-week summer internship offers high school and college students the opportunity to explore healthcare careers and gain clinical experience in the Diagnostic Imaging Department. Interns will learn about X-rays, CT scans, ultrasound, and MRI, while also developing essential career skills and earning free college credit. |

Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) Kaiser Permanente provides paid summer internship programs for high school and college students. Come contribute your ideas to a place where quality care, powerful technology, and business expertise come together to support not just health, but wellness of the mind, body, and spirit. |

Geriatric Enrichment Summer Program This 1-week summer program is exclusively for existing volunteers, offering a learning experience led by Dr. Serena Lo and other physicians. The program introduces medical concepts, with topics including didactic content, delirium, falls, and patient rounds. |

HPMG Career Shadowing Program The HPMG Career Shadowing Program provides students with an orientation to the medical field by allowing them to observe one of our physicians or advanced practice providers for up to 40 hours. |
Applicants must be at least 16 years old |

HPMG Summer Research and Quality Improvement Program The Summer Research and Quality Improvement Program is a two-month certificate program offered by Hawaii Permanente Medical Group during the summer for those interested in medical research and quality improvement. Selected participants in each cohort are paired with an HPMG staff provider and receive the opportunity to participate in various medical research and quality improvement activities based on interest. |
