University of Hawaii Maui College / Kaiser Permanente Hawaii’s Student Health Care Internship With a Focus on Diagnostic Imaging This paid 8-week summer internship offers high school and college students the opportunity to explore healthcare careers and gain clinical experience in the Kaiser Permanente Hawaii Diagnostic Imaging Department. Interns will learn about X-rays, CT scans, ultrasound, and MRI, while also developing essential career skills and earning free college credit. |

Kaiser Permanente Hawaii Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) Kaiser Permanente provides paid summer internship programs for high school and college students. Kaiser Permanente Hawaii Geriatric Enrichment Summer Program This 1-week summer program is exclusively for existing volunteers, offering a learning experience led by Dr. Serena Lo and other physicians. The program introduces medical concepts, with topics including didactic content, delirium, falls, and patient rounds. |

Hawaii Permanente Medical Group (HPMG) Career Shadowing Program at Kaiser Permanente Hawaii The HPMG Career Shadowing Program gives students a chance to explore the medical field by observing one of our physicians or advanced practice providers for up to 40 hours. |
Applicants must be at least 16 years old |
Applications are accepted year-round. |
Hawaii Permanente Medical Group (HPMG) Summer Research and Quality Improvement Program at Kaiser Permanente Hawaii The HPMG Summer Research and Quality Improvement Program is a two-month certificate program offered by Hawaii Permanente Medical Group during the summer for those interested in medical research and quality improvement. Selected participants in each cohort are paired with an HPMG staff physician/provider and receive the opportunity to participate in various medical research and quality improvement activities based on interest. |
